How to choose a campsite on a rainy day

The first thing is security. In the wild, many accidents may occur. In low-risk, low-altitude areas, we must follow the basic principles of camp selection.

1.Before setting up a tent, you must investigate the terrain carefully. There should be no rolling stones, rolling wood and weathered rocks above the camp. Once you find that there are scattered rocks nearby, you can never build a tent, especially near the rock walls. If you find a rolling stone, you should immediately yell and inform your partner. You should pay more attention to this position and avoid camping in the groove.

2.You should not be in a camp where debris flows frequently. Many stones have traces of being wrapped in mud, which is the main sign to identify the occurrence of mudslides. Don’t choose camps that are too close to the garbage passage.

3.During thunderstorms, please do not camp on the top of the mountain or in the wild to avoid being struck by lightning.

4.During thunderstorms, you should not build camps on river beaches, river beds, small rivers and valleys to prevent sudden flooding.

5. Before camping in the rainy season, please pay attention to the climatic and hydrological conditions in the camping area and upstream of the river. When you are camping, please set up tents on the high ground a few meters above the water. Don’t choose a rain channel. After solving all problems, it is necessary to pay attention to the amount of water in the water source, the turbidity and the sound of tap water. Once you feel abnormal, you must escape quickly.
